We are excited to be going into a new term in musical theatre, looking to 2020 to start new and exciting adventures, at the beginning of this new year.
This term is our project term looking at the art of the pantomime.
In singing we will be having fun song writing, using our creativity to change lyrics to song we know to fit those funny, family friendly panto themes.
In acting we will be looking at all of those infamous pantomime characters, from the fairy to the evil wizard, from the dame to the pantomime horse! There will be lots of diverse characterisation to be explored here!
In dancing we will be working on movement techniques, ensuring the moves we do are performed neatly and uniformed. Pantomimes have lots of interesting formations and partner work within dances, we are looking forward to exploring these too.

A TRIP TO THE PANTO
Last term we announced and sourced tickets for the pantomime ‘Snow White and the seven dwarves’ by Northallerton Variety Company.
We had a fantastic time meeting new and exciting characters. We helped Snow White escape from her evil step mother and stopped her from taking over the crown.
All our students were wonderfully behaved, so watch this space, I'm sure it won't be long until our next trip to the theatre.
OH YES IT WILL...
...OH NO IT WON'T!
